As we read Hatchet, we will discover the ways in which Brian is able to survive in the Canadian wilderness. Throughout this novel, we are going to be creating a Survival Guide based on the challenges that Brian encounters in the wilderness. You will not complete it all in one day, but we will work on it one or two skills at a time. You will be labeling each skill in the guide and doing research in the computer lab about the skill and why it is important.
